If you’re on the hunt for a classic cocktail, meet the Martinez cocktail. History suggests the Martinez is the missing puzzle piece between the Martini and the Manhattan cocktail. This sophisticated tipple is a firm favourite - it’s aromatic, complex and very dry, with a well-balanced flavour you‘ll revisit time and time again.
With just the right amount of sweetness, this iconic burnt honey-coloured cocktail is brilliantly rich and we love serving it as a post-dinner tipple.
Martinez
40ml gin
20ml sweet vermouth
10ml Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
1 dash Angostura bitters
Stir all ingredients over lots of ice for about 20 seconds and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a Luxardo Maraschino Cherry and an orange twist. For a warming twist, add a pinch of ground mixed spice before mixing. Et voila!
