7 of the best gin and orange cocktail recipes

Gin and orange: it’s a classic flavour duo and here at Craft Gin Club we’re all in favour of alternative mixers to tonic with your gin!

However, if you do fancy elevating your drink with just a couple of easy tweaks, then try one of these refreshing and delicious orange and gin cocktail recipes. While they look - and taste - impressive, all these recipes are all very simple to make at home and are bound to impress your guests! Chin chin.

St Clement’s Martini

50ml Six Bells Gin (or other citrus-led gin)
25ml lemon juice
15ml orange liqueur
10ml simple syrup
Sugar or a sprig of rosemary, to garnish

Pack a cocktail shaker with ice and add your ingredients. Shake hard and strain into a chilled cocktail coupe or Martini glass. Garnish with a spring of rosemary and serve or, if you like a sweet treat, line the rim of your coupe with sugar.

50ml gin
25ml elderflower cordial or liqueur
Squeeze of lemon juice
Heaped bar spoon of bitter orange marmalade
Club soda, to top up
Orange peel, to garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add gin, elderflower cordial or liqueur, lemon juice and marmalade. Shake for 20 seconds and strain into a coupe. Top up with club soda, garnish and serve. Do shake, don’t stir, or you’ll end up with lumps in your cocktail


Orange Blossom Cocktail

25ml gin
25ml sweet vermouth
25ml orange juice
Orange flowers or twist of orange, to garnish

Pour all of your ingredients over plenty of ice, into your glass. Stir gently to combine and garnish with an orange peel. You could also swap the orange juice for mango juice for a sweeter summery alternative!

Orange, Cranberry & Ginger Twist

45ml gin
45ml cranberry juice
45ml freshly squeezed orange juice
45ml ginger beer
10ml sugar syrup

Add the gin, cranberry juice, orange juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker to a cocktail shaker, along with a handful of ice. Pour over ice in a tumbler style glass and top up with the ginger beer. Gently stir.

Breakfast Martini

50ml gin
15ml triple sec
15ml freshly squeezed lemon or orange juice
Heaped bar spoon of orange marmalade
Orange peel, to garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all of your ingredients. Shake for 20 seconds, then strain into a Martini glass.

St Clement’s Fizz

40ml gin
20ml orange juice
15ml lemon juice
10ml sugar syrup
5ml Maraschino liqueur
2 dashes of aromatic bitters
15ml egg white
Soda, to top up

Combine everything except the soda water in a cocktail shaker packed with ice and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass and top up with soda.

Blood Orange Martini

60ml gin
30ml blood orange juice
Blood orange, sliced

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine gin and blood orange juice. Stir well, then strain into a well chilled Martini glass. Garnish with blood orange slices or a sprig of rosemary to serve!
