Inspired by the lip-smacking Harvest Snaps lentil snacks in Craft Gin Club’s April 2022 Gin of the Month box, we have created three fabulously flavoured gin cocktails that are vibrant and juicy and packed full of fabulously fruity flavours to pair with your Harvest Snaps.
As fruity gin cocktails go, these three cocktails could well be our new favourites!
First we have an orange and gin-based twist on a Margarita that will impress even the most discerning cocktail connoisseur. Next we have a gin and melon cocktail that is a gorgeous mix of fresh cantaloupe and craft gin. And last but not least, there is deceptively simple fig and gin cocktail recipe that is not to be missed!

Spicy Orange Ginarita
With Harvest Snaps Sour & Chives Crunchy Lentil Rings
Fresh and vibrant, this orange-flavoured and gin-based twist on a Margarita provides a lip-smacking contrast to the creamy (yet vegan-friendly!) Sour Cream & Chive Crunchy Lentil Chips from Harvest Snaps.
Traditionally, Margaritas are made with lime juice and tequila, this version swaps them out for orange juice and gin. The orange juice gives this cocktail a sweeter palate than its tart, lime-based sibling. The gin gives the tipple a rich juniper base and then the optional chilli garnish adds a tongue-tingly warmth that is simply divine.
50ml gin
25ml orange juice
25ml Cointreau
Fresh chilli and lime, to garnish
Chilli salt, to rim the glass (equal parts chilli and flaky salt)
Wet the rim of your glass with lime juice and press against the chilli salt, making sure the chilli salt evenly coats the rim of the glass. Add the gin, lime juice and orange liqueur to a shaker or stirring glass with lots of ice. Stir well and then strain into your glass. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
Fig Jam & Gin
With Harvest Snaps Salt & Vinegar Crunchy Chickpea Sticks
Sweet, luscious fig and punchy vinegar has always been, and always will be, a great combination - just think about how delicious figs baked with goats cheese and balsamic vinegar are! That’s why we know you are going to love enjoying our Fig Jam & Gin cocktail with Harvest Snaps Salt & Vinegar Crunchy Chickpea Sticks.
The genius of this particular cocktail is in its simplicity. All you have to do is shake the gin and jam together with a touch of lemon juice and simple syrup to make sure there is a good balance of sweet and sour. The result is a beautiful cocktail in which both the fig element and the craft gin are really allowed to shine.
60ml gin
1tsp fig jam
30ml lemon juice
10ml Simple Syrup
1/2 fig, to garnish
Add all of your ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Double strain into a rocks glass with ice and garnish to serve.
Basil & Melon Highball
To go with Harvest Snaps Thai Sweet Chilli Lentil Puffs
This cocktail recipe finds that perfect balance between sweet and savoury, fruity and herby, rich and refreshing. Its succulent melon flavours complement the sweet and spicy heat of Harvest Snaps Thai Sweet Chilli Lentil Puffs so well that one round will never be enough.
50ml gin
10ml Simple Syrup
The flesh of two slices of cantaloupe melons blended to a pulp
Soda water, to top
Fresh melon and basil, to garnish
Add the gin and melon pulp to a glass with lots of ice. Top with the soda water and stir. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
