Once the initial post-summer blues have passed, we can’t help but get excited about the arrival of autumn and all it brings with it: a glorious show of red-gold-amber leaves; crisp country walks and long, boozy pub lunches with our loved ones! And, of course, the chance to go into full snuggle mode: book, sofa, box set, and fluffy socks all round. You know what we all need now? Yep, a Pumpkin Spice Latte - but not as you know it!

This beautiful gin-spiked version of the evergreen Starbucks favourite is an indulgently creamy, sweet concoction - in other words, the perfect complement to autumn evenings! It’s elegant enough to serve as a dessert cocktail at a dinner party, and quick and easy enough to fling together to whip up a serving-for-one when you’re about to settle in for the night with a good movie.

But which gin do you use in this creamy martini? Well, we recommend Junimperium Special Edition Tallinn Dry Gin.

Craft Gin Club’s October 2022 Gin of the Month, it’s brimming with rich, delectably complex juniper notes, complemented by touches of black pepper and citrus. It works so well with the sweet, spiced syrup and the velvety Irish cream in this cocktail recipe.

Pumpkin Spice Martini

50ml Junimperium Special Edition Tallinn Dry Gin
50ml Irish cream liqueur
20ml pumpkin spice syrup (available online)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Fill a cocktail shaker or mixing glass with ice then add your gin, Irish cream liqueur and pumpkin spice liqueur. Shake well (or, if using a mixing glass, stir using a long-handled metal spoon) for 15 seconds. Strain into a martini glass or coupe. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg and serve!
