Inspired by the citrus-forward profile of Mad Owl Special Edition Gin, Craft Gin Club’s November 2021 Gin of the Month, this orange-flavoured twist on the classic Gin Rickey is a hoot!
Mixing the lemon, orange, juniper and lemon verbena tones of Mad Owl Special Edition Gin, which Craft Gin Club members can find in their November 2021 Gin of the Month box, with bright fresh orange juice, fragrant lime juice and the delightful, refreshing fizz of soda water, this is an utterly delicious cocktail that’s perfect for sipping throughout the year. What’s more, it couldn’t be quicker or easier to make.
Orange Rickey
Garnishing this cocktail recipe with a sprig of thyme is a great way to add sumptuous herb flavours that work oh-so-well with the citrus tones of the other ingredients.
50ml Mad Owl Special Edition Gin
25ml orange juice
15ml lime juice
50ml soda water
Fresh orange slices and thyme, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a rocks glass with ice and give a quick stir to combine. Garnish and enjoy!
