As long-time Craft Gin Club members will know, we are massive fans of Soda Folk here at Craft Gin Club HQ. Not only are their amazing sodas fun and fabulous, they are also delicious cocktail ingredients too - Soda Folk Cherry Soda is amazing in Craft Gin Club’s Knickerbocker Glory!
What’s more, their mission to spread the word about good deeds done by everyday heroes never fails to warm our hearts. Each of the figures on their cans is an illustration of a real person who Soda Folk want to celebrate for their good deeds (you can read the stories behind each of the fingers on the Soda Folk cans on the Soda Folk website at this link).
As you can well imagine, we are more than a little excited about their new flavour, Soda Folk Blueberry Muffin Soda, which is included in Craft Gin Club’s September 2022 Gin of the Month box (it’s fantastic in Craft Gin Club’s Blueberry Crumble!), especially as it already has its own gin-credible cocktail which Soda Folk have lovingly named “Muffin To See Here” - we love it! - scroll down to find the recipe and give it a go.
Muffin To See Here
Ludlow Hibiscus, Orange & Pink Peppercorn Gin No. 4 is the recommended gin for this mouth-watering cocktail. Its beautiful balance of floral, citrus and spice notes work so well with the plump, sweet, tart blueberry flavours of Soda Folk Blueberry Muffin Soda. The fresh lemon juice then adds a tongue-tingling brightness and the simple syrup holds all of the flavours together and rounds them out delightfully. Finished with a herbaceous spring of rosemary and a couple of fresh blueberries, it’s an utterly divine tipple.
Ingredients
50ml Ludlow Hibiscus, Orange & Pink Peppercorn Gin No.4
25ml fresh lemon juice
25ml simple syrup
Soda Folk Blueberry Muffin Soda, to top up
Rosemary sprigs, to garnish
Blueberries, to garnish
Method
Combine the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a glass with lots of ice. Top up with Soda Folk Blueberry Muffin Soda, garnish and enjoy.

So who is the figure on the Soda Folk Blueberry Muffin Soda can? Allow us to introduce you to Krishna Raghvani!
Krishna Raghvani was nominated to be the face of Soda Folk’s newest soda after being nominated by her friends, who said that she is the most selfless person they have ever met.
It is easy to see why they think that about Krishna. With a track record that includes volunteering at London homeless shelters, helping to raise awareness for the Black Lives Matter movement and fundraising for woman’s refuges, it seems that Krishna is always looking for ways to help her community. Not even the Coronavirus pandemic could stop Krishna from trying to help. When the pandemic began Krishna volunteered to help deliver prescriptions and groceries to those most in need. What a star, cheers to Krishna!
I feel so honoured to be recognised for my charity work and I hope this inspires other people to do the same. Even if it’s doing something small, it can still make a huge difference. I’ve always been involved in volunteering and charity work, but over the past year during the pandemic I wanted to give back to my community even further.
