This wonderfully sweet, tart cocktail is a symphony of citrus flavours perfect for spring, summer and beyond.

The best part is that the recipe only requires you to pour the three main ingredients into a glass and enjoy - it could not be easier to make at home and it is ideal for serving up in a big jug when you have your favourite cocktail friends around for a party in the garden.

As with any simple cocktail recipe, this one is all about the ingredients. For the gin, you have a couple of choices that will work well.

You could use a classic London dry to give each sip a delectably complex, earthy, rich base for all of those wonderful citrus flavours to leap from. Something like Roundwood London Dry Gin would be our pick.

If you want to take those citrus tones to the next level, then a beautiful citrus-forward gin like River Test Sunset Citrus Gin is an excellent choice. With this gin, you still get those bold juniper tones but with the added bonus of bright grapefruit and pomelo to elevate the whole experience.

Herbaceous gins are also a fantastic option to consider for this cocktail. Woody herb tones like rosemary and thyme never fail to complement lemon and orange deliciously. Portofino Gin, with its medley of rosemary, lavender, marjoram and sage is a brilliant way to give the cocktail a delectably savoury edge.

Last but not least, spiced gins are a great way to give this cocktail a wintery, festive character that is completely divine. Made with cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg, Kirkjuvagre Aurora Winter Edition Spiced Orkney Gin can really add a festive flare to this cocktail.

For the limoncello, try to find a craft edition that has vibrant, real lemon flavours.

And for a unique limoncello experience, Craft Gin Club's Gin Limoncello is the one to go for. Not only does it have a gin base that works in tandem with the other gin element in this cocktail but it is bursting with the joyous, sunshine fragrance of Sicilian lemons.

Now we get to the orange element of this tipple and that can only mean Green Orangeade. We sent this fabulous soft drink in Craft Gin Club's March 2024 Gin of the Month box because we love its fizz and juicy, refreshing, authentic orange flavour profile.

Green Orangeade's natural orange allure and effervescent fizz are the perfect partners to the gin and limoncello in this recipe, bringing everything together into a citrusy, refreshing tipple that's ideal for sipping in the sun.
