To celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, we sent our members the ingredients to make a truly special gin cocktail in their December 2020 Gin of the Month box.
Our December 2020 Cocktail of the Month is a twist on the classic the Porn Star Martini cocktail recipe. It has jubilant tropical flavours, a special-edition gin made exclusively for Craft Gin Club members and a glug of festive fizz. Truly, our Master Mixologist, Maria, has really outdone herself with this incredible gin cocktail recipe.
The traditional Porn Star Martini is a classic martini cocktail that mixes vanilla and passion fruit flavours with vodka and it always comes with a shot of prosecco or champagne. It was invented by the famed bartender Douglas Ankrah at The Townhouse, a bar in London’s affluent Knightbridge area - it’s rumoured that it was given its name because Douglas thought it might be what a porn star might order at a bar.
Our version replaces the vodka that is used in the original recipe with gin. We have then added our wonderful Gin Star Martini cocktail syrup to give the cocktail some extra star quality - we’ve kept the fruit juice, martini glass and shot of sparkling wine, of course.

Cotswolds Dry Gin The Cloudy Christmas Gin‘s clementine and spice flavours pair with the fruity punch of CRAFTED Mango & Passion Fruit Juice to give you a stunning, complex mix of fruity tones. Our beautiful bespoke Gin Star Martini cocktail syrup then adds gorgeous tropical notes.
With a shot of Codorníu Cava Non Vintage Brut and a garnish of passion fruit (just like a traditional Porn Star Martini), this tasty tipple is one fabulous way to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Ingredients
50ml Cotswolds Dry Gin The Cloudy Christmas Gin
25ml Gin Star Martini cocktail syrup
75ml CRAFTED Mango & Passion Fruit Juice
½ passion fruit or a slice of lime, to garnish
50ml Codorníu Cava Non Vintage Brut, to serve on the side
Method
Add the first three ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a large martini glass. Garnish and serve with a shot of cava on the side.
