What is TENZING?
TENZING Natural Energy is an all-natural, environmentally-conscious energy drinks brand founded by Huib van Bockel. It is inspired by the famed mountaineer, sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who was one of the first two people in history to summit Mount Everest, along with Edmund Hillary.

Tenzing Natural Energy’s original edition, which Craft Gin Club members received in their March 2022 Gin of the Month box, is called TENZING Natural Energy Original Recipe.
For Huib, it is important that his company was climate-conscious too – and helped people to become aware of how they could support the planet.
We want to show people that even small switches in their diet can reduce their impact on the planet.

Huib and his team have pioneered ways to make it easier to understand our individual impacts on the planet, offering a free-to-use tool on their website so that you can calculate your personal carbon footprint.

And TENZING practises what they preach. They take full responsibility for their footprint by actively reducing their emissions where possible and offsetting what they can’t reduce right now.
TENZING Natural Energy Original Recipe is the first soft drink to implement a climate footprint label to demonstrate its product’s environmental impact. That means you can easily keep tabs on how your consumption is impacting Mother Nature.
We know that people care about the ingredients they eat and drink, but also the impact that the brands they buy have on the planet. Our hope is that other brands – especially the big players – will follow suit with carbon labels because together we can make a difference.

Where is TENZING made?
TENZING was originally made in the Netherlands, however, the company moved its manufacturing location to the UK in order to have a smaller carbon footprint.
We used to produce everything in the Netherlands and transport our products to the UK – that was obviously a big factor contributing to our emissions, so we switched up our production model and now produce in both the UK and Holland so that we can locally supply our two biggest markets.

What is TENZING made of?
TENZING Natural Energy Original Recipe made with naturally occurring caffeine from green coffee beans, Vitamin C from Sicilian lemons and hydrating electrolytes from Himalayan rock salt.
With no artificial ingredients at all, it’s all-natural, totally plant-based, making it a great choice for vegans.
How much caffeine does TENZING have?
TENZING Natural Energy Original Recipe has 80mg of caffeine in each 250ml can.

100ml gin
250ml TENZING Natural Energy Original Recipe
Orange wedges or fresh thyme, to garnish
Fill two highball glasses with ice. Add your gin and TENZING Natural Energy Original Recipe to a mixing jug. Stir to combine, then strain into your glasses. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
