Lemon, Lime and Bitters (LLB) is a classic Aussie drink made of lemonade, lime cordial and Angostura bitters – and the GUNNA Sundowner Lime Lemonade in our July 2022 Gin of the Month box captures this iconic combo to perfection.
Thanks to zingy limes, ripe lemons and aromatic bitters, this is an LLB with true character! To add a boozy kick to this classic, just mix 50ml gin with 100ml GUNNA Sundowner Lime Lemonade for a simple and easy tipple. Delish!

Sundowner Daisy
45ml gin
15ml Cointreau
15ml lime juice
2 dashes aromatic bitters
GUNNA Sundowner Lime Lemonade, to top
Lime, to garnish
Add the gin, Cointreau, bitters and lime juice to a shaker with ice and shake hard. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and top up wth GUNNA Sundowner Lime Lemonade. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
Who are GUNNA drinks?
When GUNNA was born, it was out of frustration. Founder Melvin Jay just couldn’t find soft drinks that satisfied his fever for flavour.
Bringing characterful flavour back was the initial idea, but our thinking quickly moved to how a soft drinks business should be run. There’s no reason when consuming a soft drink that you should be damaging the planet.

With that in mind, Melvin and Co. started brainstorming ways that they could make their new enterprise as eco-friendly as possible. Many companies aim to be carbon-neutral, meaning that they offset the amount of carbon that they produce by supporting the environment in other ways. But for GUNNA, that wasn’t going far enough. They wanted to be carbon negative — and that meant auditing every single aspect of how their drinks are made, delivered and consumed.
To start, GUNNA only works with suppliers they know are kind to the environment; on top of that, they make sure the supply chain is as efficient as possible in manufacturing… And their cans are always aluminium, which means they’re easily and infinitely recycled once the soft drink has been enjoyed.
On top of all of this, GUNNA supports the reforestation of ancient bamboo forests in Nicaragua and solar electricity in Namibia, along with clean ocean initiatives. GUNNA is now proud to say that it eliminates twice the carbon it produces.
