Discover the perfect ways to serve Craft Gin Club's April 2024 Rum of the Month, Warner's Spiced Botanical Rum!

In this mouthwatering feature, we are taking rum fans through two delicious Warner's rum serving suggestions that have been tried and tested by the experts at Craft Gin Club.

The first is a simple yet elegant rum-and-mixer recipe and the second is a stunning three-ingredient rum cocktail that is sure to impress even the most discerning rum cocktail aficionados.

For the perfect simple Warner's rum serve, we have paired Warner's Spiced Botanical Rum with Ginger Beer By Supermalt and the two are garnished with a while of fresh lime.

The recipe may sound simple enough but the remarkable flavour profile you get from mixing these three unique craft ingredients is truly extraordinary.

Warner's Spiced Botanical Rum

Let's start with the rum. The team at Warner's Distillery, in Northamptonshire, have made Warner's Spiced Botanical Rum is made with sustainability at the forefront of their minds. The star botanical ingredient in the rum is roasted dandelion, which can sourced from Fall Farm, where the Warner's Distillery resides.

The roasted dandelion has a mix of chocolate, popcorn, black pepper and coffee flavours, all of which spice the more traditional toffee and caramel tones you expect in the rum.

Warner's then lifts those rich flavours with citrus peels collected from a local citrus juice factory, where they would otherwise be thrown away.

Brown bananas that were unable to be sold by another local food company then give the rum layers of creamy, tropical delight.

That complex yet utterly mouthwatering flavour profile is perfectly complemented by Ginger Beer By Super Malt.

The experts at Craft Gin Club chose this ginger beer in particular not only for its vibrant, authentic ginger flavours but for its subtle notes of lemongrass, which work particularly well with the dandelion tones of the rum.

Last but not least, the lime garnish adds fragrant green citrus tones that each sip to the next level.

Give it a go...

200ml Ginger Beer By Supermalt
Lime wheel, to garnish

After mastering that simple serve, you have to give Craft Gin Club's Skylark a try!

This easy rum cocktail recipe pairs Warner's Spiced Botanical Gin with Dalston's Pineapple Soda and our very own Skylark Cocktail Syrup.

Here, the sweet-tart, tropical pineapple flavours of the Dalston's soda, which is made with real pressed pineapples, are a marvellous juxtaposition to the rich, deep dandelion, citrus, caramel and spice tones of the rum.

The aromatic Skylark Cocktail Syrup then adds a hint of delectable bitterness that grounds the whole experience wonderfully.

We like to garnish this cocktail with half a fresh passionfruit and pineapple leaves, to really transport you to sunnier climes.
