Tom Collins

One of the most popular tipples in late 19th century America, this classic gin cocktail is simple to make and goes down a treat!

Method:

  1. To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup.

  2. Shake vigorously until well chilled.

  3. Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice and top with soda water.

  4. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a single maraschino cherry to serve.

Ingredients:

60ml gin
30ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
15ml sugar syrup*
Soda water
Maraschino cherry, to garnish
Lemon slice, to garnish
