March 17th marks St Patrick’s Day, and what better way to celebrate than with a cocktail made with our Gin of the Month from the Emerald Isle, Shortcross Wild Clover Gin? This gorgeous aromatic recipe perfectly highlights the fragrant wild clover notes in this Craft Gin Club limited edition. Sláinte!
Irish Spice Trader

50ml Shortcross Wild Clover Gin
10ml Lillet blanc
5-8ml (bar spoon) of sugar syrup
Cardamon pods (4)
Fresh mint leaves
Muddle the Cardamon pods to break them in a shaker. Add Shortcross, lemon, Lillet and sugar syrup. Add ice cubes and shake very hard for about 90 seconds (aiming for around 30-50ml of dilution to soften everything). Add in sh mint leaves and gently shake for about another 30 seconds until the mint is bruised but not too damaged
Double strain into a Martini or coupe glass.
Garnish with a generous twist of orange. We served with our home-made chilli bitters as a side garnish, which can be added to give it even more spicy kick!
