Last weekend, all roads led to The Gin To My Tonic Show in Liverpool. With a little time on our hands, we sat down with Craft Gin Club’s Sophie and Lucinda to discuss the botanicals in September’s Gin of the Month.

‘Oranges and Lemons’ was the poem that inspired the Six Bells gin, so of course the key botanicals are from both fruits. On the nose, the lemon rind and sweet orange botanicals come through after the fresh aroma of juniper. With a clean palate full of zesty goodness the finish is warm with notes of sweet pepper and lemongrass.

The botanicals in Six Bells gin are Juniper, Coriander, Angelica Root, Liquorice Root, Lemon RInd, Fresh Grapefruit and Sweet Orange. The gin was distilled for Craft Gin Club members only and has a 41.3% ABV.

For the perfect serve, add 50ml gin with 150ml of your favourite tonic and garnish with a slice of lemon.
