How did it feel to find out you had won the Golden Ticket and this exciting prize?
I was very excited to find a Golden Ticket in my gin box – I always check just in case there is a glint of gold amongst the treats and magazine.
What did you do next? How did you organise your first trip?
I got straight in touch with Craft Gin Club to advise them and waited for the contact from BeRightBack. I received a gift card through the post and a welcome pack from BeRightBack. I was very excited to login to the website and agree the dates, setting my preferences for the type of trip – being able to set preferences including a list of European Locations, departure locations and Trip Types e.g. Culture, Romance, #4theGram.

Was your holiday destination from BeRightBack a complete surprise to you?
Whilst I was able to set preferences the final location was a complete and lovely surprise, Vienna is a city I have always wanted to visit. The postcard delivering the destination was delivered one month prior to departure, this was supplemented by an email which also had a link to the accommodation and some suggestions on what to see.
Wow! So, what was the favourite part of the trip for you?
I travelled with my son and gave him the fun of planning what we should do and see although I did insist on visiting the Spanish Riding School and visiting the Sacher Hotel Café. I think the favourite part of the trip was the Prater Amusement Park and the Giant Ferris Wheel although I did enjoy the Sacher Torte!
Did you manage to try any local gin or enjoy a G&T or cocktail at any point on the trip?
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try any local gin, my only tipple was the local Snapps.
Where do you hope to go on your next adventure?
I would love to go to Iceland, however Eastern Europe and Scandinavia are also on my bucket list. I’m just waiting to arrange the next trip.
Anything else you'd like to add?
The BeRightBack trips are 3 day (2 night) breaks, just enough time to enjoy a short break and soak up a little of the local culture.
