Add some sparkle to your Christmas with the fabulous new range from Schweppes 1783, included in December’s Gin of the Month box. With new flavours like Muscovado, these beautiful new mixers can turn your simple G&T into a Christmassy cocktail in seconds!

When Jacob Schweppe came to the UK in the 18th century, he gave British gin lovers the greatest gift of all: the world’s first carbonated soft drink in a bottle. The Schweppes 1783 mixers in your December Gin of the Month box have been designed by today’s master mixologists to embody the creativity and imagination of Jacob Schweppe himself, and make for the perfect mixer at home or out on the town – especially when mixed up into the perfect festive tipple!

When the lights are twinkling on the tree and the family’s gathered round, it’s only natural to want something extra special in your glass – and the Schweppes 1783 mixers in December’s Gin of the Month box, with their meticulously crafted flavours and incredibly effervescent bubbles, are perfect for showcasing your favourite spirits.

As Rosalind Brown of Schweppes says, “The versatility of the range makes it perfect to have on hand to cater to a wide range of taste preferences - meaning you’ll always have something up your sleeve to please even the most discerning cocktail connoisseur.

The festive season should be fun and exciting, so take your festive cocktail making to the next level and impress guests with something they might not have tried before – as well as discovering your own favourite pairing in the process!”

The Schweppes 1783 range was designed with spirits connoisseurs in mind. Here, the sparkling bubbles come first. Named after the year in which Jacob Schweppe developed the technology to capture carbonation in bottles, the Schweppes 1783 range is bottled in unique ‘skittle’ shaped bottles, modelled on Jacob’s original design. After studying how Champagne bottles hold in carbonation, experts from a French university helped the Schweppes team redesign the bottle to maintain maximum sparkle.

And the master mixologists who set about to craft the Schweppes 1783 range haven’t forgotten about flavour. Each of the six flavours in the range has been carefully calibrated to give adventurous drinkers a special experience. And it doesn’t get much more festive than a dram of December’s Gin of the Month: Tarquin’s Cornish Christmas Gin with the latest addition to the Schweppes 1783 range: Muscovado, which can be found in this month’s Gin of the Month box.

Brown says, “This is a really special variant in the range, and perhaps one of my personal favourites! It has a sweet aromatic flavour, but the taste is well rounded on the tongue and pairs perfectly with dark spirits without being too sweet.”

Designed to pair with dark spirits, this mixer is rich with flavours of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch. For gins with spiced flavour profiles and notes of vanilla – like the Tarquin’s Cornish Christmas Gin member’s unwrapped this month – it makes for a truly festive combination.

In fact, all three of the mixers in December’s box bring some Christmas magic to your glass – especially when you whip up one of these signature serves!
