Hollywood movie star Ryan Reynolds has posted a hilarious joke advert on Instagram for a new edition of his Aviation American Gin that has supposedly been created specially for parents having to home-school their children due to the pandemic.

The post - which has already racked up almost 2.5million views in the first three days since going live - is captioned “Aviation Home School edition. Official sponsor of Parent-Gin conferences.” The ad sees the movie star - who hit the headlines last week for reportedly expressing interest in investing in Wrexham FC - sitting at a desk surrounded by school supplies, from where he explains that the new variation is “just like the classic delicious Aviation Gin that you love… but with more ounces”. Hehe! We hear you, Ryan…

“It’s back to school time, which this year has a whole new meaning," Reynolds announces in the opening shot, going on to explain why, as well as being, well, larger, the new bottle of Aviation Gin also brings additional benefits to home-schooling mums, dads and carers: “It can help with a variety of subjects: fourth-grade geography, whatever the **** new math is, and revisiting your own, long-forgotten middle school traumas," he jokes. The ad then finishes with the sound of a school bell ringing! You can see the full ad here:

Fellow celebrities on Instagram were quick to share their approval, with Aquaman star Jason Momoa commenting “You’re amazing” followed by a stream of laughing emojis. Meanwhile, parents and teachers were also quick to appreciate the joke, with many educators requesting a teachers’ edition, and one wise-cracking type wondering “when will the Gindergarten edition be out”?
