As Punch cocktails go, this one from the team at QVT Distillery, the distillers behind our April 2021 Gin of the Month, QVT Dry Gin Édition CGC, has to be one of our favourites.

So light and refreshing, this cocktail recipe combines the Provençal herb and floral flavours of QVT Dry Gin Édition CGC with crisp, semi-dry white wine, lots of zesty citrus fruit and fragrant cucumber. Tonic water then tops it off wonderfully with its fabulous fizz and delectably bitter quinine notes.

It’s the perfect cocktail to make at home for a garden party in the sun.

Ingredients

90ml QVT Dry Gin Édition CGC
2 tbsps brown sugar
750ml semi-dry white wine
½ cucumber
4 limes
Tonic water, to top up
A selection of your favourite herbs and citrus fruit slices, to garnish (optional)

Method

Add your gin, sugar and wine to a large pitcher or punch bowl. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Slice your cucumber and two of your limes and add them to the mixture. Juice your remaining two limes and pour the liquid into the punch. Top up with tonic and pop into the fridge until chilled. Add ice and your garnish when you’re ready to serve.
