With its subtly sweet and herbaceous juniper, bay and rosemary tones, The River Test Distillery Chalkstream Gold is the perfect partner to the beautiful, zesty citrus notes of Hartridges Grapefruit Tonic. Finished with slices of cucumber and lemon, this delightful G&T is a mouth-watering ode to the British countryside.

Fill a highball or Copa glass with ice. Add your gin, top up with tonic and garnish to serve.

A family business for five generations, there’s much more to the tonic water Craft Gin Club members can find in their March 2021 Gin of the Month box than history and heritage.
All of Hartridges’ marvellous mixers are crafted using the finest ingredients, inspired by their original recipe from over 130 years ago and their Grapefruit Tonic is no different. Vegan-friendly, gluten-free and made with no artificial flavours or preservatives it’s incredible in the two spring-inspired cocktails below.

Gin Sonic
The ‘sonic’ — a combination of soda water and tonic — is lower in sugar than a standard G&T, and was inspired by Japanese-style highball drinks, which tend to be lighter and clearer than what we’re used to in Europe. This is a great one to try if you don’t love bitter flavours because the soda will smooth out the quinine in the tonic while still allowing it to enhance the botanicals of the gin.

Ingredients
45ml gin
60ml Hartridges Grapefruit Tonic
60ml soda water
Grapefruit slice, to garnish
Method
Fill a highball glass with ice and add your ingredients. Stir gently, garnish and serve.

This drink is very refreshing, with lots of floral notes and delicate green aromas.

Ingredients
35ml Gin
15ml elderflower liqueur
1 dash of Angostura Orange Bitters
125ml Hartridges Grapefruit Tonic
2 cucumber slices
2 basil leaves
Lemon peel, to garnish
Method
Fill a Copa glass with ice, add all of your ingredients and stir quickly to combine. Garnish with a lemon peel and enjoy.
