How is Astraea Spirits Meadow Gin made?
Astraea Spirits Meadow Gin is distilled by Astraea Spirit’s distiller Danielle Leavell, inspired by Paradise Meadow at the foot of Mount Rainier and using botanicals grown in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
To evoke a true sense of Paradise Meadow in her gin, Danielle chose wildflowers like chamomile, rosehip, lemon balm, and honeysuckle as botanicals, adding a riot of floral flavours to the gin.
Those floral botanicals are then balanced with citrus botanicals like lemon, grapefruit and orange, along with other classic London Dry ingredients.

What does “Astraea” mean?
Astraea, the Star Maiden, is the Greek goddess of purity and precision. Danielle chose Astraea as the perfect namesake for spirits that are the pinnacle of artistic and scientific achievement - and will, no doubt, soon sit amongst the pantheon of great American gins.

Astraea Spirits Meadow Gin is a relaxing, floral expression that echoes the meadows of America’s Pacific Northwest. Initial sweetness is supported by just a touch of citrus, which lingers until the true meadow notes of chamomile and lemon verbena open up across the mid-palate. The expression comes full circle with a burst of honeysuckle on the finish.
