Craft Gin Club’s January 2022 Gin of the Month:
Sông Cái Việt Nam Dry Gin
This spirit is truly unique in the world of gin. The distillers have married a spectacular array of Vietnamese cultural and culinary influences – the result is a complex and trailblazing expression. It’s a spirit that whisks you away on a journey, from the sweet citrus peel on the nose to the peppery notes on the palate – not to mention flavours from botanicals you won’t find anywhere else in the world!

This beautiful Vietnamese craft gin has been distilled in Hanoi in Northern Vietnam by Sông Cái Distillery and we are so excited to be able to give Craft Gin Club members the first opportunity to give it a try. It is utterly marvellous!
The first of its kind, Sông Cái Việt Nam Dry Gin is made using a delightfully complex mix of classic London Dry botanicals and ingredients unique to Vietnam. The nose is a bouquet of sweet citrus, spice and fruit. They continue onto the palate where they are joined by touches of honey, lychee and that quintessential juniper. The finish is long and aromatic, with soft tannins and a warm woodiness that is delicious and completely moreish.

Yuzu Tokyo Tonic and Fiery Ginger Beer
This month, we are introducing Craft Gin Club members to a brand new tonic water from the remarkable team at The Artisan Drinks Co., Yuzu Tokyo Tonic. Wonderfully effervescent and aromatic, this stunning mixer combines the bright citrus notes of yuzu with the warm tones of cracked black pepper and the fragrance of Indonesian coriander. A limited-edition made specifically for Craft Gin Club members in conjunction with Sông Cái Distillery, it makes for the perfect G&T for those looking for out-of-the-ordinary, trend-setting drinks.

This fabulous gin and tonic brings together Sông Cái Việt Nam Dry Gin with Artisan Yuzu Tokyo Tonic and sweet-tart, fragrant kumquat slices, to garnish.
