Graveney Festive Fayre Gin is distilled by Graveney Gin, a London-based distillery originally founded by Victoria Christie and now co-own by Mark Stripple and Raj Patel.

Inspired by Tooting Market at Christmas, with its carollers and vibrant festive produce, the team at Graveney Gin wanted to create a gin that was traditional and modern at the same time.

They use three key botanicals to express the joys of Christmas, clementine, cranberry and winter spices like nutmeg. The full Graveney Festive Fayre Gin botanical list can be found here: juniper, clementine, cranberry, orange, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, orris root and angelica root.

Those botanicals are distilled to give us the special-edition gin in Craft Gin Club’s December 2022 Gin of the Month box.

The name of the gin then celebrates the Christmas fayres and markets that can be found all across Britain throughout the festive period.

Where does the name “Graveney Gin” come from?

Graveney Gin takes its name from the River Graveney, which still runs through Tooting today. Graveney was also the name of a small, ancient hamlet that used to exist in the area.

Where is Graveney Gin made?

All of Graveney Gin’s craft gins are distilled at the Merton Abbey Mills, Merton Abbey. However, Graveney Gin’s main home is the Graveney Gin Cocktail Bar & Bottle Shop at Tooting Market, south London - it’s a fantastic place to visit!

What does Graveney Festive Fayre Gin taste like?

Cranberry and clementine are at the core of this Graveney gin.

On the nose, fragrant sweet citrus blends with winter spices like nutmeg and cinnamon to create an enticing aroma evocative of Christmases gone by. On the palate, bright and zesty botanicals, supported by a backbone of traditional juniper, build a crescendo of festive flavours that last long on the finish.
