Fanfare please! One of our favourite treats - chocolate - has now been combined with the divine taste of our favourite drink - gin and tonic - in what can only be called a totally gin-spired new flavour combination!
Yes, After Eight has taken their ever-yummy, iconic mint chocolates and introduced a brand-new flavour: After Eight Gin & Tonic & Mint.
Described as “deliciously zingy”, the new treats are made of G&T-flavoured mint fondant enrobed in rich dark chocolate, and best eaten straight from the fridge, so that the cool and creamy mint filling is delightfully cold against the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. Er, YUM!
Mint in your G&T is, of course, a classic flavour combination: we adore using it as a garnish in our favourite tipple (especially in summer) and also in fabulous cocktails such as a gin-laced Mojito or the mint-chocolate Grasshopper, so we think this new After Eight range sounds like an absolute winner!

Serving suggestion: a refreshing G&T, naturally!
After Eight chocolates - which have been a favourite in UK households for a whopping 60 years! - are crafted with 100% natural peppermint oil and are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, which is just as well because we all know that one of those little shiny black envelopes always turns into two… then three… then.. well, let’s just say we stop there, hm?
We’re also pleased to hear that the delicious-sounding new choccies are made with cocoa that’s been responsibly sourced. Big ticks all round!
After Eight Gin & Tonic & Mint will hit the shelves in all major supermarkets, Ocado, Amazon and convenience stores across the UK and Ireland from the 7th September 2020 - but remember, this yummy new, limited-edition flavour is only available until Christmas. Good times be-GIN After Eight!
