The warm, vibrant spice of the gin goes so incredibly well with the plump, fruity flavours of blueberry in this marvellous tipple. The lemon juice then adds a bright touch of zesty citrus and the soda water adds a bubbly freshness that makes this cocktail so perfect for drinking in the garden on a hot day.

Blueberry Fizz
This cocktail is really a simple Gin Fizz with the addition of blueberries. The berries work with the spiced style of gin and the zesty citrus fruit to make this a refreshing and fruity cocktail like no other. What’s more, if you want sweeter drinks, just swap out the fresh blueberries for blueberry jam as the recipe suggests below.
Ingredients
50ml Cuckoo Spiced Gin
25ml lemon juice
10ml simple syrup
5 or 6 fresh blueberries or 1tsp blueberry jam
Soda water, to top
Lemon wedges and fresh blueberries, to garnish
Method
If not using jam, add the fresh blueberries to a shaker and gently muddle them. Add the gin, lime and sugar syrup to the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass over ice - this could be either double strained to remove the particles or single strained if you prefer the blueberry bits. Top with soda water and garnish with a lemon wedge and fresh berries.
