Here at Craft Gin Club, we only work with small batch distillers, producing some of the world's best gins. We love finding out about the stories behind all the gins we work with and hearing the passion and dedication it takes to produce a beautiful craft gin.

Although taste and quality is the overriding quality when it comes to a good gin, the story and the branding play a big part in deciding what goes in the Gin of the Month box, to be sent out to our lovely members.

To date we have worked with well over 40 distillers and not only have the gin's been stunning some of the distilleries are equally as stunning. Here are our 6 picks of the most picturesque distilleries in the world!

Edinburgh Gin Distillery

We worked with Edinburgh Gin in February 2016, and since then the distillery has been ranked in the top 20 of Edinburgh Visitor Attractions on TripAdvisor. Nestled beneath the stairs on Shandwick Place, the distillery is small but drenched in atmosphere, thanks to the stone walls, leather armchairs and little 'tasting booths. The impressive copper stills are set behind large glass windows so visitors can come and watch them hard at work.

Cotswolds Gin Distillery

As you drive towards the Cotswolds Distillery, through the meadows you’ll spot its two buildings, converted barn houses that now house the stills that make your Cotswolds Dry Gin (our April 2015 gin of the month) as well as the visitors’ centre, spirits lab and gift shop. You’ll notice that just like the surrounding fields of barley, both buildings shine golden in the sun, a shine typical of the quaint villages and hamlets throughout the Cotswolds, a shine that originates with the yellow limestone abundant in the region.

Boatyard Gin Distillery

May 2018's Gin of the Month was the beautiful Boatyard Gin, distilled right on the shores of Lough Erne in County Fermanagh. The distillery itself is an old boat repair shop on the water, the two buildings – one a glass fronted, disused reception area overlooking the water, and the second a large shed where boats could come in straight off the lake – into a state-of-the-art home for a line of spectacular spirits.

City of London Distillery

This September we're bringing you Six Bells Gin, a Craft Gin Club exclusive distilled in the heart of London. When you first walk down the stairs into City of London Distillery, or COLD Bar as it’s called for short, past prints of old London and the first gin craze, you’ll find yourself in what, at first glance, might look like a swish cocktail bar. But head past the bar, where master mixologists can be found whipping up expert cocktails, and you’ll see a working distillery behind tens of thousands of pounds worth of bomb-proof glass.

Sabatini Gin

Amid the green, Tuscan hills surrounding Cortona lies the historic Villa Ugo, home to our beautiful January Gin of the Month - Sabatini. Sip a cocktail in the villa's old lemon house or stroll through the botanicals garden and inhale the aromas of the 9 botanicals that make this beautiful spirit.

Four Pillars Gin

As you drive from Melbourne to the grapevine-covered hills of the Yarra Valley, one of Victoria's premium wine destinations, you can't help but notice the giant shed-like building that houses Four Pillars distillery, November 2016's Gin of the Month. Inside, gaze at three gleaming copper stills (named after the founders' mums) while learning about this unique gin's ingredients (such as whole oranges and Tasmanian pepperberry) and tasting the final product. The oranges leftover from making the gin go into jars of marmalade – at last, it's OK to have something gin-related with breakfast!
