Grapefruit Gin Punch
A delicious batch cocktail to serve all your gin-loving friends!
Recipe adapted from The Roaming Kitchen
1. Create a basil sugar syrup by combining sugar and 240 ml water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. When sugar has completely dissolved, turn off heat and add basil leaves. Allow to steep for 30 minutes, then strain into an airtight container and let cool completely.
3. In a large pitcher, mix together basil sugar syrup, gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice and 480ml of cold, still water.
4. Let mixture chill until very cold. Add fizzy water and lime slices, and garnish each cocktail with basil and lime to serve.
25g basil leaves
140g caster sugar
70cl bottle of gin
1.5L grapefruit juice
250ml lime juice
1L sparkling water
4 limes, sliced
