Easter weekend is an opportunity to gorge on chocolate, spend time with family and friends and celebrate the end of Lent. We also think it's a great chance to drink some gin too, especially with TWO whole days off work! These are some ways you can gin up your Easter whether you want to hunt for some eggs, have some Easter-y cocktails or indulge in chocolate.

1. Make your own Easter Gin Freakshake

Gin and chocolate? Yes please! This calorie-busting cocktail isn't for the faint-hearted, but it's so delicious you'll drink the whole thing. Easy to whip up at home and combining all your favourite Easter sweets, the boozy kick from its added gin makes it absolute perfection!

2. Whip up a KONGSGAARD GIN-soaked dinner

Why not make a gin-infused dish this Easter? April's Gin of the Month has notes of apple and ginger so why not try making this delicious KONGSGAARD GIN Apple Sauce. It is delicious with pork fillets, recipe courtesy of our resident gin chef, Carol Donner. Click here for the recipe!

3. Go on a distillery Easter Egg hunt

On Saturday 15th April from 11am until 3:30pm at the Silent Pool Distillery there is an Easter Egg hunt for children! They will search for signs which represent 24 different botanicals used to create Silent Pool gin around the distillery. Once completing this they can claim their Easter egg. There is also a pub quiz for adults!

Address: Silent Pool Distillery, Shere Road, Albury, GU5 9BW
Cost: £2 entry fee for the egg hunt and £3 for the quiz. All proceeds go to Cherry Trees charity.
More details can be found here.

4. Enjoy gin-flavoured chocolate

Prestat have created the 'London Gin Truffle Easter Egg'. Truffles are infused with gin and Mediterranean lemon oil covered in creamy white chocolate! Yum! For more details click here

5. Go out for a few Easter-themed drinks

This weekend we suggest visiting a cocktail bar and trying an Easter themed cocktail (or should we say choc-tail?). Head over to Bread Street Kitchen for their 'Boisterous Bunny', Dirty Martini Cardiff for 'The White Rabbit', a 'Cadbury Creme Egg Martini' at The Lost Paradise Bar in Bournemouth, 'Bueno' at your nearest All Bar One or a 'Hot Cross Bun Sour' inside the Novotel in Liverpool.
