Cocktail of the Week: Root to Fruit

National Gardening Week starts today, and what better way to kick off this celebration of green growing and botanical bounties than with a drink that's practically made for the occasion? Tap into the spirit of nature with April's KONGSGAARD GIN with this gorgeous cocktail!

Root to Fruit

Just as KONGSGAARD GIN is inspired by the tree from root to tip, so too is this cocktail. With Rondó bitters serving as a base, build up to the blossoms of lemon and grapefruit in this ingenious drink.

Kongsgaard Gin Root to Fruit Cocktail garnished with orange slice

50ml KONGSGAARD GIN
20ml Rondó (or similar bitter)
20ml Lemon juice
20ml Grapefruit juice
25ml Maple syrup
Dehydrated lemon wheel, to garnish

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake together and strain into a white wine glass. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
