Warm yourself up with this incredible Kalevala Gin creation – perfect for sipping as you look out over the snowy forests of Finland (or your drizzly back garden, as the case may be).
40ml Kalevala Gin
2tbsp ginger syrup*
100ml strongly brewed black tea
Juice of half a lime
Combine the strong black tea and ginger syrup in a glass and stir. Squeeze in the lime juice and add the gin. Stir for a final time and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
*For the Ginger Syrup
120g fresh ginger
1/2 tbsp salt
Zest of half a lime
Add finely sliced ginger, sugar, water, salt and lime peel to a saucepan and bring the mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes without the lid. Discard the ginger and lime peel. Pour the liquid into the jar, let it cool and keep in the refrigerator.
