It's not often we get serious about stuff...but this serious shandy is seriously good...
The Serious Shandy
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain, then top with pale ale and garnish with a mint leaf.
25ml lemon juice
15ml ginger syrup*
50ml 58 Gin
Chilled pale ale, to top up
Mint leaf, to garnish
*For the ginger syrup, combine one part water and one part sugar in the pan and simmer on a low heat, until dissolved. Grate in fresh ginger; a fiery syrup will give your cocktails an extra kick, so don’t be shy! Sieve out the fresh ginger and allow your syrup to cool. Store in the fridge.
