While the unspoilt beauty of New Zealand may be a long haul flight away, a taste of Kiwi culture may be right on your doorstep: a trip to London is all it takes! Get a bite of New Zealand life with these four fab spots in the Big Smoke.

The Providores, W1U

Founded by Kiwi Peter Gordon, this delightful restaurant offers an exciting and innovative fusion cuisine, and is also home to the largest selection of premium New Zealand wine in Europe.

The menu consists of everything from smoked eel laksa to spring lamb chump, so you really are in for a treat. Plus, Peter was awarded an O.N.Z.M. (Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit – the NZ equivalent of an OBE) by HM The Queen in the 2009 New Year Honours List for services to the food industry. If it's good enough for HRH it's good enough for us!

Ben's Canteen, SW11

If you’re looking for the relaxed atmosphere of a local pub complete with the wonderful home-comforts of down under, Ben's Canteen is the place for you!

The brunch menu is to die for and if you get there early on a Sunny Sunday morning you can sit outside and take in the lovely view of Granary Square - however, housed within a grade II listed Victorian grain store the interior is just as lovely.

Flat White, W1F

The coffee culture in New Zealand has been booming for a while now, with many Kiwis considering themselves coffee connoisseurs. The famous flat white is probably the most common coffee ordered in New Zealand, and this is the best spot in London to sample one.

Flat White is massively popular amongst Kiwi expats, and seems to be succeeding on all counts in its mission being to bring Kiwi coffee to the big smoke. The pastries are out of this world – and the coffee isn’t bad either!
