Looking for a little New Years motivation? Sign yourself up for a secret gin run!
Secret London Runs will be taking lucky groups of runners on gin-themed mini-marathons around the UK's capital city, teaching them about the history of gin in the and playing gin-themed games along the way.
In case you were looking for more inspiration to sign up, the run will end with a free G&T, a goody bag and a copy of Katie Kirby's new book Hurrah for Gin. The prospect of a drink at the end would certainly spur us on!
The route is 10km, but no need to worry if you aren't in marathon shape: each run is at a different pace, so you can pick the day that works best for your fitness level (catch us on the half jogging, half walking day!).
Vanessa Cain, the run's organiser, said: "I set up Secret London Runs about a year ago as a way for tourists and Londoners alike to explore the capital's hidden past, while releasing a few endorphins."
"Each group has a set guided pace, so you can sign up for the tour is in your comfort zone. And there are plenty stops on the way to catch your breath!"
