Pink gin is a firm favourite here at Craft Gin Club, and we’ve tasted so many beautiful craft pink gins, it’s proof that decent pink gin doesn’t have to be overly sweet or lacking in flavour (like the ones you may find on the supermarket shelves).

If you haven’t dipped your toe in the pink gin world, then check out our Pink Gin Explorer Set (it makes the perfect pink gin gift) and is an easy entry into this exciting category!

What’s more, if you want to know more about where pink gin comes from, how pink gin is made, what it tastes like, and more, then you need to checkout out our spotlight on pink gin

Before we begin, let’s start by explaining…

What’s the difference between cocktails using pink gin and pink cocktails that contain gin?

It can be confusing as they both look the same…

A pink gin cocktail will contain pink gin as the base of the drink, whereas a pink cocktail may contain classic gin. A pink cocktail may owe it’s pretty colour to another ingredient in the tipple that’s not the gin - such as a cocktail syrup, garnish, liqueur or mixer. We have cocktail recipes below that tick both boxes!

If you are looking for an easy pink gin cocktail, a pink gin and prosecco cocktail, or fruity pink gin cocktail, then take a look at these blushing beauties below! Even better? They taste as gorgeous as they look!

8. Rose Campari Gin Blush

Here, we’ve created a classic cocktail base and, as well as adding a little floral note from rose water, created a beautiful blush colour from the addition of Campari. This deliciously bitter liqueur, of course, also helps balance the sweetness of the simple syrup and the tart citrus twang of lemon juice.

40ml gin
5ml Campari
20ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
15ml simple syrup
1 egg white (optional)
1-2 dashes rose water
Rose petals, to garnish

Add all of your ingredients (with or without egg white) into a shaker without ice and shake. Now add ice to the receptacle and shake again. Strain (you may want to double-strain) your drink into a chilled Coupette or Martini cocktail glass. Garnish with a fresh rose petal and serve.
