Brits bought more gin than ever before in 2017!

The gin craze that has hit the Uk in recent years has no sign of slowing down, after brits bought more bottles of gin than ever before in 2017. 

It seems, as a country, we have exceptional taste (buds), purchasing 47 million bottles of the juniper led spirit last year, thats 7 million more bottles than 2016! 

Beating both whiskey and vodka to the top spot of the biggest sales growth last year, our favourite tipple has clearly shaken off it's historical 'mother's ruin' reputation and we just cannot get enough of the ginny stuff! 

2018 looks set to continue our love affair with gin, with more and more distillers experimenting with botanicals and flavours, offering more innovative and unique gins for us fans to enjoy. Gin cocktails are also becoming more popular, with gin bars popping up all over the country - however, you cannot go wrong with the humble G&T that has led this revival and continues to be the drink of choice across the UK.
