Here’s how to make your own delicious tea syrup with Whittard’s Christmas teas. It is super easy and makes a gorgeous addition to your Christmas cocktail, like the beautiful concoction below, made using December’s Gin of the Month, Copperfield London Dry Gin A Christmas Carol Edition!

Christmas Tea Syrup | Sugar and Spice G&Tea

Christmas Tea Syrup
1-2 Whittard Christmas tea bag
150ml boiling water
150g caster sugar

Cocktail
50ml Copperfield London Dry Gin A Christmas Carol Edition
25ml tea syrup
10ml lime juice
125ml cloudy apple juice
Apple wheels to garnish

First make your syrup - you will need to let it cool for about an hour before making the cocktail. Add 1 - 2 tea bags (depending how strong you want the syrup) to 150ml of boiling water. Stir in 150g of caster sugar until dissolved. Allow to cool

Once the syrup is cold you can make your cocktails! Add the gin and syrup to a highball over ice and stir. Top up with cloudy apple juice and garnish with apple wheel.
