A good craft gin deserves to be paired with a great craft juice. Luckily for gin lovers, Cracker Drinks Co are on the case! The folks at Cracker Drinks Co capture the natural taste of high-quality fruits in their range of CRAFTED drinks, without ever bringing refined sugars or sweeteners into the mix. That’s why we just had to include their Mango & Passion Fruit Juice in our July 2020 Gin of the Month box.
Blended in the UK in small batches, their perfectly balanced drinks are delicious on their own or when mixed with gin, like in these easy-breezy, two-ingredient cocktails that bring gin and juice together in a super-simple drink. It’s a match made in heaven!
Our recommended balance of gin-to-juice is 50ml craft gin (a standard double serve) with 120ml CRAFTED Fruit Juice Drink (by Cracker Drinks Co) and plenty of ice. There are five flavours in the range - here are a few of our favourite gins to pair with each flavour, and some garnish suggestions to make your Gin ‘n’ Juice extra special.
Apple, Mint & Lime
Deliciously crisp, with the sweetness of apple, the fragrance of mint and the tanginess of lime, this juice drink mixes best with juniper-forward gins like Boatyard Double Gin.
The piny, resinous taste of juniper complements the cool flavours in the drink – similar to what you’d expect to find in a Mojito.
To make your cocktail extra exciting, garnish with a sprig of mint and slice of lime.
2. Blueberry & Blackberry
This fun, fruity juice blends the sweetness of ripe blueberries with the sharpness of blackberries to make a refreshing purple drink, perfect for summer sipping.
Mix in a sloe or fruity gin with berry-based botanicals, like Manchester Gin Blackberry, to make a cocktail that will make you feel as if you’re brambling in the British countryside – especially if you garnish it with a blackberry or a spring of rosemary!
3. Pineapple, Coconut & Lime
This drink bursts with sweet flavours, which are perfectly complemented by floral gins, with botanicals like rose, elderflower and lavender - Copperfield London Dry Volume 2 would be perfect!
Mix up this yummy tipple and enjoy the taste of a tropical garden.
4. Still Cloudy Lemonade
This drink is sweet, yet sharp and super smooth!
Zesty and full of flavour, Still Cloudy Lemonade pairs best with citrus-forward gins, with botanicals like orange, grapefruit, lemon and tangerine - Ludlow Hibiscus, Orange & Pink Peppercorn Gin is marvellous with this juice.
Add ice and a slice of citrus and you’re in business!
5. Mango & Passion Fruit
