Cocktail of the Week: A la Perchoine

This week's tipple, like the Blue Bottle Gin in the Dragons' Den Box, is a gem straight from the isle of Guernsey created by local cocktail bartender, James Le Gallez.

James is the owner of Apéritif, a luxury mobile bar that caters to corporate clients and high net worth individuals around the Channel Islands, UK and Europe. James participates in numerous cocktail competitions and has been a finalist at the Belvedere Ultimate Martini Challenge, the Spirits Business Gin Masters 2015 and the Funkin Innovation Challenge 2015 where he entered with the A La Perchoine, developed in partnership with Blue Bottle Gin.

Here, James shares his original recipe (whose name means ‘goodbye’ or ‘til the next time’ in Guernsey French) that's easy to make at home. Cheers!

A la Perchoine

40ml Blue Bottle Gin
10ml Campari
Whole Passionfruit
15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
10ml Rhubarb Syrup
Dash of Orange Bitters

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, shake with ice and fine strain into a cocktail glass. Serve straight up with a lemon twist.
