THE UK'S FAVOURITE GIN SURVEY INITIAL RESULTS: HENDRICK'S IN THE LEAD

Taking inspiration from the amazing Ginvent Calendars from Drinks by the Dram and the Gin Foundry, we started our survey to determine the UK's favourite gin by asking Ginvent tasters to name their favourite gin of the 24-gin calendar. To complement that first survey field, we also asked Ginvent tasters to name their favourites if they did not appear in the Ginvent calendar.

The initial survey results (click to download Excel file) yielded over 330 responses naming 82 gins, an additional 58 gins to those featured in the Ginvent Calendar. Just the same, 64.9% of the total votes named a Ginvent Calendar gin while 81.6% of the total votes in the top 20 gins came from the Ginvent Calendar. Only 2 of the 24 Ginvent Calendar gins did not receive at least one vote.

To level the playing field, we have continued the survey without the impetus of the Ginvent Calendar Gin List. We are aiming to receive 1,500 total votes to determine if Hendrick's is truly the UK's favourite gin.
