Congratulations! You’ve made it this far through the week. To celebrate, why not treat yourself to a cocktail? Today’s death defying Humpday Cocktail is selected by Dom Balfour, General Manager at London’s Graphic. It’s the alcoholic equivalent of a defibrillator, just what you need to revive yourself from 72 mortifying hours of on the job.
Corpse Reviver cocktails date back as far as the 1860s and, as the moniker suggests, were concocted as a hangover cure. It is rumoured that Harry Craddock, famed bartender of the 1920s and author of The Savoy Cocktail Book, first mixed the drink.
So, f you’re in Soho tonight, swing by Graphic. Wherever else you may be, get a Corpse Reviver #2 in your hand before rigor mortis sets in!
